This location has many beautiful spots to shoot. Mostly nature oriented. Waterfronts, greenery, lots of trees. The Spring Blooms are insanely stunning here. There are a few sculptures and park areas to shoot around as well!

In the heart of Downtown, this stunning structure of a building is the perfect backdrop. With the stairs and beautiful architecture in the front. The back has a garden full of color and life!

A parking garage might sound weird, but it has so many fun structures, as well as backdrops you won’t get anywhere else. I’d highly recommend at looking and seeing the variety you can achieve here!

Located just outside of Downtown, this beautiful nature spot has the building views in the distance. You get waterfront options, so many trees and paths, a beach for another option, and much more!

Located in Norwalk, the cutest shed that is always decorated for the season! I’d recommend shooting here in the fall or winter if you want themed photos! This space does need to be reserved ahead of time.

Just outside of Winterset is this beautiful custom built Victorian Conservatory! With Greenery, this stunning White space is perfect for anything! This space does need to be reserved ahead of time.

West End is a salvage store with fun stuff outside. But it is also a fun location Downtown with many side streets and walls that are great backgrounds!

With an unique view of downtown behind you, this white bridge is a classic tourist attraction. It provides structural elements, as well as many beautiful angles to the Des Moines River.

Rain or shine this location is what it sounds like…the neutral pillar columns that are covered yet outside. This is crisp and clean but gives texture in photo. This is my go to rainy day solution if a studio is unavailable

An East Village gem, this coffee shop has perfect lighting and a chill vibe. It doesn’t hurt that they sell the best treats to have during your shoot!

Downtown Des Moines is known for the Sculpture Park. It is exactly what it sounds like, sculptures everywhere. Many different and unique backdrops to be had. A go to classic for Seniors.

East of the River in Des Moines is a second part of downtown. It is filled with many fun walls and pathways. Take a walk around and see all the unique options for backdrops!
